A key member of the Business Finance Team you will directly report to a Finance Business Partner and provide support across several finance processes. You will process financial transactions and produce routine reports. 

Role Responsibility

Main Responsibilities for Finance Industrial Placement Student:

• Supporting day to day transactional activities within the Business Finance team
• This will include responsibilities for the accurate processing of various transactions including journals, invoices, time amendments and accruals 
• Active involvement in month end duties including responsibility for calculation and processing of monthly accruals and assistance in the production and reconciliation of project reporting, including Management Information Reports & Balance Sheets
• Involvement and support with customer and CAPEX projects
• Support the development of quick, accurate and accessible management information for all key stakeholders with a range of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. This will include reports such as utilisation and project trading reports 
• Continue to support the ongoing forecasting and budgeting process within the company. This will include actively working with the business to forecast accurate costs for our customer and delivery areas plus ad hoc support to Corporate Finance during forecasting periods
• General support and assistance to the finance team

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria for Finance Industrial Placement Student:

• Desire to start a financial career and start studying for accountancy qualification
• Strong communicator, able to elicit information from stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Analytical mind with the ability to translate detailed and complex information into concise and coherent management information
• Must be diligent and use own initiative to resolve issues.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the finance team and across the business
• Ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment and criminal record checks)
